Employment Opportunities at Gibson Ranch

 

Gibson Ranch Park Equestrian Services is now accepting applications for the following positions:

        Job Description:  AM workers bring 15-20 horses and ponies  from the pasture, groom and saddle for the day's rides.  Back-up large rides with the Sr. Wrangler.   PM workers unsaddle, rinse horses and put away in pasture. 

        Secondary duties:  Feed livestock, check drinking water levels, clean water troughs, clean stalls, clean tack. Must be able to work around livestock, dust and dander, in harsh weather conditions and handle hay bales weighing approx. 100+ pounds.

        Requirements:  All applicants must be at least 16 years of age,  have a valid work permit, a valid driver's license, and submit to a drug test.  Work schedules to include weekends and evenings.  Must be able to work alone for periods of time.  $7.75 per hour

        Job Description:  Guide trail rides with beginning riders (children and adults).  Work with children during summer horse camps.  Prepare horses for rides, put horses away.

        Secondary duties:  Same as Jr. Wrangler, plus guide Farm Tours for school children.

        Requirements:  Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and submit to a drug test.  Must have adequate horseback riding experience to be responsible for 12 beginning riders and knowledge to help riders in case of emergency.  Must pass a riding and horse handling test.  Work schedules to include weekends and evenings.  Must be able to work alone for periods of time.  $9.00 per hour (+ tips) to start
