We offer many activities for School groups and large private groups of 20 or more.











Guided farm tours
Your class will enjoy life on the farm with hands on experiences with many barnyard animals. Your class will be guided through the barn areas and pastures to visit the animals in their homes. Animals to be visited may include ( depending on time of year ) cows, sheep, pigs, goats, horses, llamas, chickens, rabbits, peacocks. Minimum of 20 visitors. Time allotment : 1 hour. Cost 2.75 per person. This tour is great for all ages.
Hayride
Come along and enjoy an old-fashioned hayride. Tour the ranch and see the large farm animals in their pastures. Minimum of 30 visitors. Time allotment : approximately 1 hour. Cost : 3.75 per person.
Hayride/Farm tour combination
This event includes a half hour Tractor-drawn hayride touring the large animals, and a half hour walking tour of the small animals. The walking tour includes hands on experience with the farm animals. Minimum of 30 visitors. Time allotment : 1 hour. Cost: 4.75
All about horses
This activity teaches horse care from A to Z. Your class will learn about the different breeds of horses, and about riding and working styles. Your class will try their hand at grooming a horse and learn about the different equipment used in horse care. Horseback riding may be added at an additional cost. Minimum 15 visitors. Time allotment : 1 hour. Cost 3.75 per person. This activity is recommended for children 8 and older.
Note : Each tour allows for one attending adult at no charge for each 15 students, all other adults and siblings will be charged at the student rate.. You may be subject to a parking fee if your activity includes use of the park.
All tours require reservations. There will be no unguided tours allowed. Students will benefit when your group has done a lesson about farms before you arrive.
***The Annual Civil War School Day
May 18, 2012 is the date to bring your 5th grade through high school students to the park to re-live the Civil War. The 1 1/2 hour guided tour brings 1863 back to life with living history, first person accounts of life during the Civil War. This is the only opportunity of its kind in the Sacramento Valley and surrounding areas. The cost is $6 per person. Check the civil war page for further details.
